Joyce Kim, MD, is an experienced, board-certified anesthesiologist at The Woodlands Sports Medicine Centre in The Woodlands, Texas. She is dual board-certified in pain management and anesthesiology. Dr. Kim specializes in relieving back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, abdominal and pelvic pain, and cancer-related pain.

Dr. Kim was born in Madison, Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Southern California (USC), where she was named renaissance scholar for achievement in separate fields of study. She attended medical school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she also completed residency training in anesthesiology.
Dr. Kim continued training in interventional pain management at the University of Texas MD Anderson fellowship program in Houston, Texas. She maintains her advanced credentials with continuing education. Dr. Kim is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology.
